About E D Huntington Orchids and Tropicals

Our love for orchids all started on visits to the farmer’s market in Santa Barbara, where we discovered cool growing orchids. Our enthusiasm only grew after we returned to our hometown, San Antonio, so we finally decided to share our passion with our community. Today, we grow an impressive variety of vibrant orchids and tropical plants in our greenhouse, all well-cared for with dedication and expertise. We’re known for our orchid arrangements of all sizes, filling containers of our own or ones that our customers bring to us. As you explore our calming, therapeutic greenhouse, we’ll be on hand to help you find the right plant.

I was nearby so I decided to make a quick stop to check them out and met the owner Liz and her two pups. This place is simply beautiful! Liz is so knowledgeable and down to earth. Her plants are so huge too! 10/10 recommend.

This greenhouse is one of the nicest in San Antonio, a personal mini botanical garden. The owner Liz was so genuine and kind to me as I nerded out asking what's this and is that a questions every minute. I took about thirty minutes of her life away just asking about anthuriums alone. It's not often that you run into a OG anthurium grower with 20 year old plants and species you've never heard of or seen in person. I bought one of Liz's beautiful anthurium crosses and a ping that caught my eye but before that she gave me a cutting of her basket fern that I had admired earlier. I appreciate the generosity that you showed me and the tour you gave me. Thank you and don't be surprised if you see me sooner rather than later. I can't get that Marie out of my mind.

This place is magical. The variety of beautiful, well kept and healthy exotic plants is unmatched anywhere within a 5 hr radius. Liz the owner is amazing. So informative and kind. Her place has sparked it for me. It’s a WOW factor when you enter.

Stunning collection of tropical and orchids. I met a worker or the owner and they were quite knowledgeable and offered cuttings of pretty much everything on display. I left empty-handed cause I had other places to be but this location was fantastic and I will be back soon. Update: came back and scored a massive Thai Constellation. Liz was super-nice and friendly!

My husband and I recently explored this hidden gem and we picked up a little Cattleya for our home. Liz the owner is amazing! So knowledgeable and friendly. It was interesting seeing all the unique varieties of Tropicals she has. She gave us a couple little succulent starters on the way out. So sweet! We highly recommend!
